UPDATES

Hey Folks!

First and foremost, we need your help. Come out, support us and join the fight! We are still in need of Election Day volunteers and supporters to regularly share our social media posts to maximize the reach of our message. We are also asking everyone to go through their phone books and social media contacts to identify friends and contacts that live in our district so you can personally encourage every eligible voter to have their voices heard.

On January 30th, 2024, James stood at a podium and committed to running a clean and respectful campaign because we believe that type of campaign is important in today’s political climate. This past week, we have seen our opponent’s true colors. He insulted our hardworking immigrant communities, grossly misrepresented our positions, became argumentative with attendees at the candidate forum when confronted with his hypocrisy over his use of the very public financing bill that he opposed, and finished the evening off by being extremely rude to a young woman who wanted to bring her concerns about Proposition One to him.

As if his performance wasn't shameful enough, he used the time allotted on the Keeler in The Morning Show to throw unfounded insults at James rather than make a case for what he has to offer to the voters. Recently, he has expressed grievance over James choosing to devote himself full time to earning votes, forcing Joe to do the same. Clearly, he feels entitled to easy reelection, every two years instead of having to earn the trust and votes of his constituents like other elected officials.

Joe has spent his career in a political bubble where he has only faced minimal challenges to his office and has only had to interact publicly with people who support him and don’t push back for accountability.

Just a few days before we cast our final votes, we can see that our opponent is concerned and is willing to take the gloves off. We are going to fight back and refuse to back down. If he wants to step into the ring, we will gladly meet him there, but we will continue to do it the right way.

We have been hitting the phones, appearing at every event possible, knocking on doors to plead our case to voters, and reaching out to earn every vote we can find in a race that a few ballots could decide.

If you support service and change, come out, support us and join the fight! If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at (315)570-3419.
Let’s keep up the good fight and Let’s get to work!

Hey, Team Meyers!
I want to start by thanking everyone for the outpouring of support that we received at the North Utica Neighborhood Association’s Candidate Forum on Monday night!
As you know, this was the first time our opponent had agreed to any kind of forum or debate despite his agreeing to a debate on the Talk of the Town radio show. Unfortunately, despite our commitment to participating, they were unable to bring it to fruition.
Those who watched the N.U.N.A forum have called it a resounding success on our part as we were able to demonstrate what we stand for and what we would bring to the office when elected. This was in large part due to the show of support from everyone who attended and the productive discussion that was spurred by the questions asked. This goes to show that the commitment and participation from our supporters is every bit as important as the rest of our team.

With that said, we have less than a week left to ensure that we cross the finish line victoriously and there is still a lot of work to do.
James will be on Keeler In The Morning on Thursday, October 31 at 7:15. We are asking our supporters and volunteers to tune in and call with questions.

We are still partnering with the NYS Dems to conduct an aggressive Get Out The Vote operation and we are asking anyone who is available to help to call Dylan Depaul at (315)709-7782.

We also need all the help we can get on the big day, November 5. To join us on that day, please call Brianna Cruise at (315)582-5312 and give her your information.

Finally, we are still asking you to reach out to your friends and neighbors who may not be likely voters and encourage them to show up and make their voices heard. I have already brought several first-time voters to the polls!

As always, thank you for being part of our team. We can’t do it without you!

Hey James Gang!
We are down to the last week and a half before the big day and doing everything we can to bring our brand of Service and Change to the 53rd Senate District!
We are asking for help from our volunteers and supporters as we will need “all hands on deck” to cross the finish line together.
Next week, James will be doing the radio talk show circuit. On Monday at 8:30, he will be on “The Talk of the Town,” following Mr Griffo. Then, on Thursday at 7:15, he will be on “ Keeler in the Morning.” Also, on Monday evening, James will speak at the Candidate Forum at the North Utica Neighborhood Association.
I’m asking that anyone who will be available during these events to contact Brianna Cruise at (315)582-5312 or Cruisebrianna@gmail.com to let us know that you’ll be there with us!
As always, “Lets Get To Work!”

Hey, Team Meyers!

Sean D Mahoney, Campaign Manager for James Meyers here again. I’m sure by now I don’t have to tell everyone how important this election is, from the top of the top to the bottom.
We all know at least one or two people eligible to vote but not registered or someone who is registered to vote but never has. Maybe they were never politically engaged or just unsure how.
This is a huge opportunity to make a difference in this election. Let’s talk to them, find out what issues are important to them, and show them what James and the other Democrats are offering to make their lives a little better and that not all politicians are the same.
If we bring one or two new voters to the polls, we will each do our part to bring our Blue Wave to fruition. I will personally be bringing two new voters to the polls, and they are both excited to be a part of our movement!
You can help your friends register to vote, update their registration, look up their polling location, learn about early voting, or vote by mail here: https://www.james-meyers.com/voter-resources. Remember, the deadline to register is October 26.
Every vote makes a difference, and the friend you bring to the polls can be the deciding factor. Just ask John Mannion about the ten votes that made the difference in his race in 2022 when he wasn’t expected to win!
Let’s get to work because when we fight, we win!

Yours truly,

Hey there!
It’s Sean, the Campaign Manager for Team Meyers.
We have come a long way since the snowy afternoon in January when James announced his desire to run for the 53rd NY Senate seat, and we began our journey to unseat an 18-year Republican incumbent. Looking back, I’m humbled to see our tiny group of friends and supporters grow into the organization we have today!
By now, you have seen our signs in every corner of the district, our TV ads, and our extensive online and digital presence. You may have also attended our events, fundraisers, and meet-and-greets or even participated in our parades with our team.
None of this would have been possible without the help of our supporters, contributors, and volunteers.
On behalf of our team, I want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts.

With that said, we aren’t finished fighting; we are in the home stretch and sprinting to the finish. With less than three weeks left until the big day, I ask for your help crossing the finish line.
We are partnering with Jon, Hunter, and Dylan from the NY Democrats and their field offices throughout the district to canvass for James and other Democratic candidates such as John Mannion, Adrienne Martini, Marianne Buttenschon, Austin Paddock, Paula Collins and many others. We will work on an aggressive GOTV operation and our ever-important Election Day activities.
In this historic election cycle, we see the possibility of a true blue wave at the national level, down the ballot through our state-level races, and even our local elections. I assure you that our team is full steam ahead and will not slow down until the last poll closes on November 5 and the last ballot is counted.
Let’s ensure that when we wake up the following day, we know deep inside that we have done everything we can to make this blue wave happen. To learn about what YOU can do to help with our canvassing, GOTV, and Election Day activities, contact outfield coordinator Brianna Cruise at (315)582-5312 or CruiseBrianna@gmail.com.

As my friend James likes to say, “This may not be the greatest healthcare message, but we will sleep when we’re dead (or at least November 6)!”
I sincerely thank everyone again for everything we have accomplished thus far.
Let’s keep our eye on the prize!
